What do we mean by Online Pornography? |
1st June 2013 | |
. |
|
We need to clamp down hard on ALL forms of online
pornography, especially child pornography. However ... |
|
. |
|
In order to make sure we are all singing from the
same hymn sheet, we need to define our terms. May I propose the
following useful definitions: |
|
. |
|
Adult Pornography: Images or written accounts of
persons over the age of sexual consent engaged in sexual behaviour
involving violence. |
|
. |
|
Child Pornography: Images or written accounts of
persons under the age of sexual consent engaged in sexual behaviour
whether or not violence is involved. |
|
. |
|
As a bona-fide naturist, I am afraid of this growing
and well meaning anti-pornography movement being hijacked by nudephobic
extremists. Innocent nudity is absolutely NOT pornographic. When
accessing the internet recently in a shopping centre in Oxford, I was
even blocked from viewing the website of the local sun club, Oxnat. This
level of censorship is quite frightening. We do our young people far
more harm by instilling in them an attitude of same in the healthy
bodies God gave them. Yes we must protect them from pornography as
defined above but we must do it in a way that protects the underlying
principles of our broad-minded, tolerant society. |
